The provider will contact you directly via email to answer any questions and to provide you with the clinic forms to get started with care.
Step Two:
Depending on the therapy chosen, the next step is typically obtaining blood work needed to develop your personalized care plan.
If you are a functional medicine patient, typically the provider visit comes first, followed by the lab work. This allows the provider to assess your specific laboratory needs .
Step Three:
Meet with the provider for lab review, physical exam, and care plan options and development.
Depending on need, the provider visit may be conducted in clinic or via telemedicine.
A personalized care plan will be developed and you will begin therapy as a Precision Health Alaska Member.

Does Precision Health Alaska take health insurance?Precision Health Alaska does not bill, accept, or contract with any insurance companies; as such, payment is due at the time of service. The focus of a healthcare provider should be solely and clearly on the overall health and wellness of the patient, using all integrative means known, to help them achieve and maintain optimal health and not simply reduce illness. Insurance companies often set “one size fits all” policies on the treatments, therapies, or medications they allow, sometimes excluding what would be best for an individual patient in favor of a cheaper option. Accordingly, Precision Health Alaska has elected to remain clear of the financial relationship between you and your insurance company. Because Precision Health Alaska remains “Out-of-Network,” prices can be kept low. We strive to remain as cost-effective as possible. Some patients have utilized their HSA/FSA accounts for services. Coverage is not guaranteed and patients must contact their insurance for details.

Is hormone replacement therapy safe?Hormone replacement therapy is not only safe, it can be life saving. Current research shows having optimal hormones through the later stages of life can improve quality of life and extend the lifespan in otherwise healthy adults. *This is a generalized statement and must not be taken as individual medical advice. Always consult a licensed provider before starting any hormone therapy program.
-
Is hormone therapy (HRT, TRT, TOT, BHRT) right for me?Hormone therapy of any kind requires an individualized approach, including lab work and a one-on-one consultation with a licensed provider. Your lab work results and the consultation with the provider will determine if you qualify and what YOUR BEST treatment course of action is.
-
What is bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) or testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)?Hormone replacement therapy is a medical treatment that uses natural molecularly similar hormones to restore hormone levels to those found in people who are biologically young. BHRT and TRT has many uses, including treatments for symptoms of low testosterone in men and symptoms of peri-menopause/menopause in women.
-
What are signs you need hormone replacement therapy?Hormonal imbalances happen to many men and women as a result of bodily changes which come with age, such as menopause in women and andropause in men. Unfortunately, the aging process impacts our ability to produce and adequately maintain healthy hormone levels. This can lead to symptoms, such as weight gain, hair loss, low sex drive, depression, mood swings, brain fog, erectile dysfunction, vaginal dryness, an inability to maintain muscle, and much more. For many people, these changes are just accepted and left untreated causing a diminished quality of life and can ultimately negatively affect lifespan.
-

You may also call or text the clinic at (907)921-9226. If we are with a patient or unable to answer right away, leave a voicemail and your call/text will be returned ASAP.
